In the Making: Yarn Painting

June 21, 2010 by Michele

Yesterday, I started another new project. Big surprise. This one had been on the books for a long time.

For eons now I’ve been squirreling away two things: 1) those little mesh bags that onions and other veggies come in, and 2) all the little yarn cutoffs from any crocheting and knitting projects I’ve been working on. I always thought they had arts and crafts potential but I’d never gotten around to using them. Well, yesterday, I used them in tandem. Here’s what I’ve done so far.
(There’s roughly 10 hours of fun in this 8″x 8″ square!)
Here are some closeups…
And this is what the back looks like. Stormy weather…
Not sure what I’ll do with this little guy… If you have any thoughts, please, I’m all ears!

What a fabulous little creation! You are very resourceful. Could you frame it maybe?
