Just One Slab

July 2, 2013 by Michele

Just a quick message…
I wanted to take a moment to let you know about Dining Room Empire’s Just One Slab Quilts Recover Southern Alberta effort.
You may have heard about the terrible flooding that has befallen that Canadian province recently. Now, the recovery is under way and we crafters and quilters have been asked to do our little bit. Make “just one slab” as per these directions, send it over to Cheryl, and she will have it sewn into quilts for the flood victims. I can’t think of a more perfect way to use up some scraps, and help out someone in need eh? Plus, making these slabs is totally addictive and fun as Krista so rightly points out! Will you be making one?

I'm thrilled and honoured, thank you! Just started teaching kids, fibre crafts this week, and the book will be invaluable for future ideas.
Just bought a kit for quilting and will try to get a square sent off. Thanks again!
