Have you tried collage? Ah yes, most enjoyable… Especially if you allow a piece to emerge spontaneously out of the materials you’ve chosen I think.
All parts of this small collage were cut from sale flyers and the local newspaper. I used favourite bits of yellow, grey, black and white for this one. The bits were then attached “improvisationally” with Mod Podge to a piece of paper stretched and stapled onto an old unused picture frame.
I’m calling it “Parallels”.

This is so cool. I haven't collaged in years…likely ever since quilting took over! Now the only collating I do is on Big Huge Labs ; ). I love the balance and line in this work Michele!
Thanks so much Krista. I find similarities between quilting and collage. The mixing of colour and texture in a finite space. But collage is smaller (usually) and faster. Fun stuff. 🙂
You're back! Nice to see you here again Michele! – I've just been catching up on your posts – gorgeous bow quilt and your adventures in the thicket! Love this collage and your upcycling, eco-friendly attitude and crafts. Sorry it's taken me a while to find you back – I've had my head down getting stuff done over the past few months – today is the first day I'm freed from projects now finished and I can take some time to explore what everyone else has been up to!
