Crazy Heart Cushion

July 23, 2015 by Michele

Don’t know if you remember the Quilted Heart Rug? Well here’s its companion piece, the Crazy Heart Cushion.

Forgive me, but I couldn’t resist making another heart-themed quilted thingie… Looks quite fetching resting in the great outdoors on my wooden bench, doesn’t it?

The pillow looks great. I like your quilted heart rug as well. Can you tell me how well the rug has held up over time? I've been thinking of making myself one but was hesitant because I wasn't sure how durable it would be. thanks. eliz.i@sympatico.ca

That's such a good question. We're using the heart rug in the high traffic area between the main entrance and our kitchen, and because it is so densely quilted, it is holding up beautifully even with the winter salt that we treck in. Plus when it gets very dirty, I just throw it in the washer. It still looks great! Not bad for a thing made of scraps, eh? I should really blog about that sometime Elizabeth, thanks!

Cushions are actually real fast to make so if you want a quick quilting fix, they are perfect!

Michele, I copied your idea and made your crazy heart pillow. I was going to send you a picture, but couldn't locate your email address. Thanks for the idea!
